ABOUT US

My name is Sophie Green, and I am a senior in North Shore Country Day School in Illinois. Both my parents were born in Ukraine, and I had an opportunity to visit their birthplace several years ago. Let me tell you, great people, awesome food, and interesting history. I met some of my parent’s friends and other family members. When the war started on 02/24/2022, and I started seeing images of destruction in my parent’s hometowns, and hearing stories of what was happening, I had to do something. So, with support of my school and classmates, I started a drive to gather necessary medical and personal supplies for Ukraine. I was not ready for the outpouring of support from my community. So many vital items were donated, and donations keep going. So, a decision was made to start a non-for-profit organization, Care Alliance, so we can continue our support for people of Ukraine and hope to increase our support to other people in need. Thank you all for your generosity. I am proud to be a part of such an amazing community that is always willing to help others.

 

Since our beginning, we at Care Alliance have worked tirelessly to promote our cause. We are fortunate to have found volunteers in our community who bring their unique expertise and resources into everything we do. This is what enables us to achieve our goals.
